Toshiba L50 A PSKLWA - 006002 | Not powering up nor with battery or main power

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite L50 here and its not powering up.

Bought from guy who has no need of bricked laptop

It would give a Power LED and a Charge LED but press the power on button and nothing not even a fan noise or anything.

Tried removing all hardware still nothing

Left the battery on charge all day, the next day it was only reading 3 volts.

Removed battery and still not even a power or charge indicator.

    Mains charger giving 19 volt

Can some one suggest how to fix it , I have swapped power packs and Ram.

Review the charger sticky above by piernov.

The fault will often be in the dcin mosfets that get damaged. To get started, link the schematics for your laptop if they are available. Check the schematics forum of this website and then share the link only here. With a meter and steady hands, should be able to diagnose the laptop.

Post a few pics of your logic board. We need to review the location of the parts to determine which version is inside of your laptop.

Perhaps the logic board is like the attached view? If the laptop is popular enough, there will be leaked schematics and a boardview file to assist us. Otherwise, the process will take longer to diagnose. In general, there is the power adapter -> DCin mosfets (usually are 2 of these) -> then the charger IC. Most of the time, the fault is in this region of the logic board.

Using a meter and hot air soldering tools, it is possible to repair most of these boards. If required, you can lean on your local cell phone repair store to make the replacement of the defective parts after a review.

ASUS X571 no power : battery issue?
          by mkdj
          Hello everyone,

          Mark and model: ASUS X571
Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

          Tests already made:
          - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.
          - I have removed...

Acer Aspire 5 A514-55 - won't power on, no charger LED, battery not flat - usual suspects?
          by DenK
Dear all, I am trying to troubleshoot an Acer Aspire 5 A514-55 that won't power on. I'll describe the symptoms and my findings so far, and I would like to seek guidance and suggestions on possible suspects in terms of cause/component failure. My initial thoughts are battery charger IC and/or ideal diode/MOSFET (that switches between incoming DC and battery power), but I could be totally wrong on this.
          1) Laptop was working fine on battery, then user realised battery was running low. Plugged in AC adapter but noticed it was not charging (LED on AC adapter plug did not light). Eventually shut down

Mid 2014 A1398 MacBookPro,Is it feasible to remove the battery from the MBP and connect it to an external power supply?
          by Gust zhang
I have a 15 - inch Retina MacBook Pro from the mid - 2014 model. Here is the link: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...light=820-3662 . The battery broke some time ago. After I removed the battery and plugged in the original power adapter, the MBP could boot up normally. However, when I checked with IntelPowerGadget, I found that the CPU speed was limited to 0.8 GHz, and it ran very slowly. Later, I found a solution on GitHub. There is an open - source project called cputune that can set the CPU running speed. So I can now run the MBP at full speed. But another problem...

Acer Predator Helios 300 - will not power up if battery is CONNECTED
          by survivalbloke
This was a no power initially. Thanks to your help, I discovered it was the first mosfet, so I replaced. Now, the device will power up only if the battery is NOT connected. As soon as I connect the battery, it shuts off. If I connected the battery while the device is off, it simply will not respond to the power button. I replaced the battery, and while I suppose the new battery could be faulty, I'm assuming it is not. I'm having the same behavior with the new battery. I measure .2v at the charging coil. Manually applying power to the + and - at the battery header, there is no charging happening....
