    copmaq cq40 no diosplay

    power ok but no display change ram cpu and bios but same.after a while it gives one blink per second i google it and it says a cpu not funtional but its not the cpu fault in my case because i change already and also check on other motherboard it works fine.any ideas..........

          Try to reflow the cpu socket.

            insted of reflowing i will better suggest u to reball which comparatively is a better option

                if you don`t own a $$$ station i`ll suggest to try a NON pro way.
                cook the whole board.
                Just cook it! It's already broken.

                  if cooking doesn't help, wash it make sure remove cmos battery first. you can put it under the sun afterwards

                    2 times i forgot to take the battery out!

                        uneven heat could deform the cpu socket. make sure you have elstein ceramic up and down to do it.
                        its better to reflow cpu socket than reball it, if this is your first time.
