Hi. I need to replace the keyboard in MSI Katana B12VFK. Unfortunately, there are no keyboards with a wide backlight flex available. However, they come with a narrow flex. Do you think that if I put a connector that the manufacturer did not install in this version, will the keyboard backlight work?

by ResoluteHawkHi! So just like the title says, I have an MSI Katana laptop that will only power on when using the diagnostic power button that is next to the battery connector. Also, the board will only power on using that button if the keyboard ribbon is disconnected.
If the keyboard ribbon is plugged in and I connect power with the battery connected, there is no charge light and the 3.3v that is supposed to be present on the keyboard is not present. Instead, the pin measures 0.2V, and in diode mode, measures 0.83 voltage drop.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by gabrielA7Hey guys!!
I’ve got a question here!
I have a MacBook Pro A1706 that needs the backlight cable replacement — the well-known issue — but the problem is that the code on my original cable is 821-00571-A, and the one I have on hand to install is 821-01229-A.
Well, I asked ChatGPT about it, and the guy told me they’re not compatible and it could even burn the backlight circuit!!
