    Dell Latitude 5280 5THCBH2

    Hello guys,

i got this laptop from a friend to solve a problem.
The Laptop got a black screen. After turning it on, the keyboardlight is on and the fan working sometimes but nothing to see. The LCD is fine.
    I did the LCD selfttest.
I think my friend tryed to update the Bios and failed.

I have a TL866 ll Plus and ordered a SOIC8 clamp. I want to flash the Bios on circuit.
I don't know which of the two chips are the bios.

Near the CMOS Battery: MXIC MX25L8006E
    Near the CPU: AH1721 259(8)128CSIG E7A026 the 9 can be a 8.

Where can i find a clean bios file, for flashing with the adapter?

Sry for my bad english and thanks for your help.

The chip with 128 or 256 is the main bios . Not advisable to flash with a clamp. Instead order a socket and desolder the bios chip and put in socket and then proceed to flash. You can upload your existing bios in dedicated "BIOS SECTION" and ask for a clean me bios.

Dell Latitude 5431 issues with dumping bios
        by Sathsul
So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...

Dell Latitude 5400 Chromebook UEFI bios
        by jhanra
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

Dell Latitude 5490 (LA-F401P) - Boots from USB-C only, not from DC Jack after BIOS flash
        by YOUCEF4787
        Hello everyone,
I'm working on a Dell Latitude 5490 with a LA-F401P motherboard that has a very peculiar issue, and I would appreciate your insights.
        Initial Problem:
The laptop was completely dead, no signs of life, no power LED.
        Action Taken:
I flashed the main BIOS chip with a clean dump. This brought the machine back to life, but with a strange limitation.
Current Situation & The Main Issue:
The laptop now works perfectly when powered through the USB-C port. It charges the battery, powers on, boots into the OS, and functions 100% correctly....
