    LCD Connector identify or source

    Trying to identify where to source the LCD connectors on the motherboard side for a HP 14-cf2051la. This one came in with liquid damage to the connector and the flex cable. It appeared to clean up ok, however customer says that display blanks out intermittently. It's a 30 pin EDP flat ribbon cable on motherboard side. Believe it to be a HEDWIG-6050A3155301-MB-A01 motherboard.

    I've stolen the connector from another HP motherboard which matches up but it's not the best since it's been kicking around my donor pile for a while. This connector is different to most flip type ones I have in that it has the small ears on each side of the connector to make it's correctly inserted.

    Only thing on the connector is 'P-TWO' and '30C5'. Pic's attached.

    EDIT: Cable has already been replaced!

      That website wasn't much help. But it appears that this connector is also an ACES 51519-xxxxx-xxx connector as well.

        You can try the method we use in case there are no alternative ingredients. We will use empty pins to replace the damaged pins of the connector.

            The board I stole the P-Two connector off was a HP DA00P1MB6D0. In the schematic these are the part numbers...

            GS12401-1011-9H
            DFFC30FR149
            51519-0300t-v01-30p-l

            First one appears to be a FoxConn connector but seems to be a 40 pin connector on lookup, not 30 pin. I don't know what manufacturer the 2nd part number is from. The last one is an ACES connector, but can't locate it a source for it anywhere.

            I have a couple of other HP boards I can steal the connector off, but it shouldn't be so difficult to source a damn LCD connector!!

              Is the fault with the connector? Or could the display be a suspect? Being an industry spec, you should be able to purchase affordable tools from Aliexpress to test out the eDP LCD (ie. HDMI to eDP bridges, etc.). We used to have these tools before the drunk driver smashed up our lab. Be sure to test the LCD to be known good. There are many FPC connectors @ 30 pin on Aliexpress and we have names of assorted manufacturers of the same. Otherwise, best to create a drawing with dimensions to nail down for the PCB footprint.

                  Yes, those tabs are the difficult part when scrolling through Aliexpress for a suitable replacement. The other issue is the location of the ground anchor.

                  But did a parametric search on Digikey, and found what looks to be suitable from Kyocera. Tabbed and ground anchors line up ok, part # 046288030000846+
