Hello, I have to repair a T-Phone 6Pro with a broken LCD and I order a replacement screen and the new screen is not working. So I order another screen and the issue is the same. I thought maybe I was bad luck and I ordered a third screen and the issue is the same. The problem is that the new screen has vertical lines in the middle of the screen. The old one is working (it is broken but I can see the image). All 3 new screens have the same issue. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I do not think that 3 LCDs are bad.

Are you ordering the replacement screens from the same vendor? We are designing with these UHD LCDs and learning a lot from the process. These displays are driven by the MIPI interface and often will be 4 lanes of differential lines based on the size of the phone. Respectively, there is an initialization routine where the target LCD is configured by the host with respect to timing / start & end of the porch signals / TE enable / disable. From a quick review, it appears the shared pic has improper timing for the LCD.
Is it possible that this phone was offered in different resolution? Perhaps a vendor fault in shipping the wrong display(s)? You may want to consider to test with a different vendor. An extreme but viable suggestion is to consider a used phone of the same model for testing. It should function unless they lock the screens to the logic board like Apple does on the current models. Just my 2 bits. -
hm, I ordered from different vendors (2 from China and 1 from the EU). There may be a different version of the phone I am not sure. But the thing is that the interior of the phone looks the same. In a few days, I will have another phone to test it. On other phones like Xiaomi, Huawei, etc in case that there exist a few versions of the phone usually the manufacturer puts different flex cables or connectors but this is exactly the same. I will check with other phone and post here....the quieter you become the more you are able to hear...Comment

by SluggerBI have two TCL A30 phones.
Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.
New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone
My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone.... -
by wizard13Hello everyone,
I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.
I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.- Brand & Model: Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100

by cloudyHi everybody
Since day one I'm having an unpleasant contrast/brightness issue on my Asus laptop.
Basically while watching movies, if subtitles appear on screen, the contrast or the brightness of the entire screen increases a lot (not sure if it'is brightness or contrast), disturbing the viewing of the movie.
Last year I replaced my screen because got damaged and this contrast/brigthness issue persists. It happens only on the laptop screen, in fact If i plug an external HDMI screen the issue does not occour on it.
It occours both on ubuntu and windows...01-01-2023, 05:12 PM -
by ScHAmPiHi all,
Because of two bright spots and a couple of dark spots I decided to replace the backlights in my Samsung UE48JU7000. See attached photos:
I thought all went well, but after full assembly and testing it out it turns out not all is fine. The backlights are completely fine but I have some weird issues on the right half of the screen. Since I didn't really touch the T-CON board (apart from taking out the ribbons of the display and reconnecting them on assembly) it would be weird that the issue is with the T-CON board... But based on the behavior of the service...2 Photos -
by trepachkaI am just wondering if anyone has boardview+schematics for HP Probook 450 G8.
Computer is missing screen backlight. The backlight fuse must be kaput. I know the fuse is located on the motherboard because we tried a different working screen and it, too is missing backlight.
Perhaps, if the boardview+schematics are not available, someone can point out where the screen backlight fuse is located. Thanks.-
