Has anyone replaced Airport card in MacBook and it didn't work?

I got two Airport cards (Broadcom) to fix the wireless problem in a MacBook but it keeps not detecting them, additionally if there's an Airport card installed, the MacBook can't shutdown (it will restart upon shutdown). Those two problems came with originally.

This may not add much information, but I do reballs on MBPs and about a month ago I had a similar wireless problem on one and no new airport card (2 tried) would fix the issue. Software would simply report (No airport found) in the OS. Interested in a solution for this as well.

Have you tried swapping the webcam/airport cable?

I did not. The client wasn't concerned too much about the wireless as they always ran off ethernet and didn't want to wait for a new cable. I suspect that may have been the issue.

I tried another cable from another MacBook. Still won't work but the camera does. Now I'm sure is something in the circuit.
