Sony vaio SVS13A1S9ES no picture

Hello,

This one doesn't have picture on the lcd screen. With external monitor works perfectly. Fuses are OK and the cable seems OK too. The mainboard is MBX-259. Is it possible that the schematic diagram will be found?

Try to reflow GPU.

Can you see the screen glow in the dark room? May be the backlights (LEDs) are not on. I will not expect problem in GPU since you are able to get the image with external monitor.

Nope there is no picture at all (like you haven't connected the panel). There is a missing voltage 3.3V on the connector and I wanted to trace it..

check if there is any small 5 or 6 pin ic around which switches the 3.3volts maybe it is damaged which can happen when you put the connector on the board while the machine is on.

Please check the photo. I think that without its schematic diagram I can't do anything right not. I have searched for it with no result.

Getting image on external monitor doesn't mean that everything is ok with GPU. Today I had same situation again, laptop was working on external monitor only and after reflow it worked. So try to reflow it you have nothing to lose.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is not from the gpu. On older models the same thing happened to me once but on this one as I have previously said 3.3v don`t exist on the connector for the panel. Also after bridging that fuse picture on the panel came but after 10 minutes it disappeared. Can anyone provide me with the part number of those two 5 and 6 pins ics that are there please?

It blows the new fuse, so it means that the T-CON on the panel is drawing too much current due to bad components on the T-CON board.

Thanks for your reply. I am measuring on the mainboard side of the lvds connector with the panel disconnected so I guess the panel is OK. Also the fuse on the panel is OK..

what is this 3.3v for ? did you check the voltage without plugging the connector ? try separating that pin from the connector and apply 3.3v externally(or from the mobo) and see if it worked.

check fuse near lvds conn. if all is ok then reflow gpu
