Re: How to solve overheating issue?

well i got exactly same motherboard , but here is a insys computer , well for my surprise , once i opened it , it WAS FULL OF ANT's , yes ANTS (small bug) even capacitors were merged with ants , well cleaned all board removed shorted caps , and the dual fet for the 5 volts line as also the main 19 volts mosfet . now machine does turn on and charge battery with no problem , but still always with no image , and a consume of 0.3 amps .
noticed that NM10 was getting a bit hot as also CPU , replaced NM10 but without sucess , it still stay in same situation , hot cpu , and nm10 getting a bit hot as well , but nothing else , still same consume , even flashed bios , but still the same .. no schematic and a bit lost here , since all cores seems ok , as also voltages ok , cannot predetermine if there is data running on memory , since dont have a osciloscope , to get data read .

Dell Latitude 3510 Overheating & Fan Control Issue – Need Help
      by Ven
Dell Latitude 3510 (Intel Core i7-10510U) CPU Overheating

      Issue Description:
      1. CPU Overheating to 100°C
        • When I start the laptop from a cold state, it takes about a minute to reach temps around 80-90-100°C, and CPU thermal throttling triggers.
        • When the CPU fan is running at full speed (by disconnecting PWM and TACH cables), CPU temperature stays around 50-60°C.
        • However, when the fan is connected normally to the motherboard, it does not kick in at high temperatures.
        • I also noticed a few times that the fan kicked in for a very short time, but it does not stay on consistently.

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
      by rounin
      Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

      🛠 Original Issue
      The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Sony AV1010, basically works but heatsink is cold, resistors overheating
      by foxer
      Weird stuff.
I press power on this receiver, I hear the relay click, I can play music and get radio, everything apparently works but not really. The big heatsink stays cold to the touch, the small heatsinks to the two voltage regulators on the mainboard get super hot, and there are two overheated brown areas on the mainboard with an identical pattern (circled in red), centered on the components on each side of the big capacitors (removed in these pictures). Those last components, of course, also get burning hot.

So...I spent the week with my novice skill trying to locate...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
      by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...
