    Is this susceptible?

    Scored one of these online for about $100 and I get a free junk PSU thrown in to take apart

    If you mean the graphics chip problem then yes it is an 8xxx series chip and they tend to run quite hot and will fail eventually it is a well known problem with 8xxx series even doing the copper shim trick does not seem to work because they run so hot that is the problem i have encountered with most 8xxx series graphic chips.

      Hmm... well it was cheap so I guess i can't complain. I'll keep it clean and not bend the laptop. Thank you!
