    Hp dv6700

Got this laptop, charger LED lights up when it's plugged in, battery LED does not light up.

I tried shorting G1 (is that a power switch?) and nothing happens.

I think you should start measuring PQ61 voltages.

Do we have same shematics DV 6700 Intel_quanta_at3?

I quess I have different schematics. Can you post your schematic?

PQ61 should be near AC Input and it should be 8 Pin Mosfet.

          I don't really see PQ61, I see PQ30, PQ31, PQ32, PQ33, PQ34

Yes, PQ61 is MosFet on DV6700 intel motherboard.

You have other model and there is different names.

What is your motherboard type and is it Intel or Amd?

The specific model is: DV6990LA, uses AMD processor.

Forgive me, but is there a basic standard test to follow for a dead motherboard diagnosis?

I gave up, told him just to replace motherboard, that's another board to the landfill.
