My MSI A6200 was shutting down at times but only when I had the Power Supply plugged in and also the connector was hot to the touch, it wouldn't always recharge the battery, I was thinking I was going to have to disassemble it and resolder the DC Jack but I tried something else, I just kept unplugging and plugging in the AC Adapter connector at a fast rate over and over and spinning it around back and forth, this cleaned the jack connector and now it's working normally again. not getting hot at all and charging the battery again.

Re: MSI A6200 Laptop Power Jack Problems
It started doing it again, this time I took a small screwdriver and scraped the negative outside edge connector inside the jack, now it's working normally again. I really don't want to have to replace the jack unless totally necessary. I think I will coat that portion of the jack with a light coat of petroleum jelly.Comment

I have this inexplicable problem from yesterday
Each time i start my laptop by pushing the physical power button in, the laptop keyboard and touchpad are available to me for use when the system has booted to the desktop (I can enter the bios by pressing on F10 too) irrespective of whether the laptop is powered by the AC adapter or the battery. Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by jrodefeldI would like to see if anyone could help me salvage a very expensive laptop that is no longer working.
The model: Asus Zenbook Pro Duo UX582L
I have used this laptop lightly since I purchased it new in 2022. I have always taken precautions to take care of it the best I could, and have never done anything that would risk causing damage to it or shorten it's life.
However, around six months ago, the laptop stopped working on battery power. It continued to work fine when plugged in, but as soon as power was disconnected,...-
