Toshiba A300-1BU power issue (no Nec/TOKIN capacitor)

Hi everybody, I am Max and live in Italy.
I ask your help to fix a defective TOSHIBA A300-1BU which turns off as soon as I start it using AC/DC adapter. I don't know whether it works well with battery because a friends of mine gifted notebook without this one.
I've read many topics on this forum about Toshiba power issue (related to Nec/Tokin capacitor) but, unfortunatelly, this motherboard doesn't use this capacitor. I found schematic of motherboard here: "http://www.forcomp.cz/soubory/Toshiba-Satellite-A300.pdf".
As you can see in the pictures I've attached here, there are five capacitors 330uF/2.5V (identified with letter from "A" to "E") involved in CPU power circuit control. I think to replace them with new one.

Do you think this will resolve my problem?

    Thanks everybody in advance.

Does it turns off so quickly, that don`t let you enter into bios?

Hi Francisco.s, thank you for your reply.
Yes, I can enter the bios, I restored default settings too. The notebook shuts down suddenly within less 1 minute.

Check temperature of processor / GPU. It may overheating and automatically temp sensor sending informations to shuts down the system. Caps may be bad but if so I don't think you can even turn it on.
        Laptops and computers repair.

We know more aspects about the problem.
          Does the fan start spinning?

Yes, Francisco, the fan starts normally but the notebook stops after 30/40 seconds.
As gabik111 suggested me, i will check temperature of CPU/GPU.

Hi, I have the same problem with my Toshiba A300.

I can charge the battery when pc is powered off.
And I can start this pc normally with only the battery.

If I try to connect power DC, the A300 goes off after 2 seconds.

If I try to start the pc with power DC without battery, the pc seems to start but only loop without boot.

My pc only starts with battery and I cannot use its with power DC.

I try different DC power unit without nice results.

I can run Bios menu when start with battery: I tried all different configuration but without good results.

On motherboard I can't see any broken parts (fuses or caps).

              Can someone help me?

Some A200 owners used to disable the CPU drivers as a temporary fix.
Can be found in Device Manager under Processors, in Safe Mode.
It might give us a useful clue.

I'd be very interested to find out if anyone has ever solved similar issues with these.

With the A200s/A300s/L300s/L350s and such which all have NEC Tokin issues, there are lots of people who have the same symptoms but no NEC Tokin.

Surely the problem must be in the same area?

                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

What capacitor should I purchase for Power Supply of obsolete game consoles?

                            hello.

I have Sega Saturn and 5 years ago, I recapped all of capacitor in the Power supply, Because At that time, It frequently freezed black screen after SEGA logo displayed.

It hardly ever freezed after I finished to recap all of caps in the power supply.

But Yesterday, It did not show any screen at all and its green power LED constantly blinked.

To my surprise I found that all of two NXH 10v 2200uf capacitors in the secondary area of Power supply have been bulged and It measured 57 mF and 75 mF capacitance.

                            It seems that quality...

Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 Power-On Issue (Troubleshooting Assistance)
                            by justice171
I am seeking guidance on an Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 that does not turn on when pressing the power button.

Below are the observations and troubleshooting steps I have taken so far: Observations and Tests:
                            1. Verified that all critical voltages are present:
                              • 3.3V and 5V are always present if DC is plugged.
                              • 1.8V on the BIOS chip is present.
                            2. Checked the power button functionality:
                              • When pressed, the voltage drops to 0V, indicating the button is functional.
                            3. Inspected the flex cable connecting the USB, audio, and power button to JUB1:
                              • Confirmed connectivity is intact, ruling out issues
                            ...

hi guys, my motherboard will not start no matter what
when connected to ac power, the battery does get charge, led indicator glows red when discharged and turns white as it is fully charged.
but rest nothing happens no sign of life.

this laptop has one preexisting usbc power issue - so i use DCIN jack for charging my laptop.
with this issue my laptop was unable to power ON only sometimes i just had to wait some time.
but now nothing happens no matter how much i wait/ charge/ press and hold power button.

i have no knowledge of motherboards ....

This one's a weird one, and still unsolved despite it having gone back to Dell once.

                            Specs

i7-8750H, GTX 1060 Max Q, 500GB SSD & Seagate 7mm 1TB HDD. 17.3 IPS screen. This has the fingerprint reader in the power button.

                            Backstory

I bought this from eBay, from a wallpapering shop. £650 in 2020 which was a good price considering it's a gaming laptop. Physically it's in perfect shape, apart from the hinge mounts on the palmrest failing in the time I've had it (I have a new palmrest for it). The usual thin plastic crap modern build quality!...
