    HP Envy x360 15m-eu0013dx

    Please bear with me and my lack of experience. This laptop will not charge and has no lights when plugged in.I’ve found that a good portion of the board has a short. No obvious visible problems (not having a variable voltage/current supply) I connected the shorted area of the board to a 9 volt battery and probed around with the temperature probe on my VOM. I found this part became a lot hotter than anything else on the board. My question is whether it can be tested on the board or not? I’ve checked between VIN1 and other terminals and get less than 2 ohms on all but two terminals. Thanks for any advice.

      The 3/5V Lord switch PIC 1 has a burned mark. Replace it, should have never received a supply of +9V this will cause further damage ,clean the area and upload a clear picture to address any doubts

          I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

          Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

          I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

          The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

          With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
