HP 15-fa0000 (680A2AV) power led blilnking

    Hello, everyone.

    Mainboard model: DAG3 PMB180 REV:B MODEL: G3P
    Victus 15-fa0000 (680A2AV)

This is my first time I tackle this kind of problem with a laptop
usually dealt with resting cmos, replace bad memory sticks or replace heat sink
or visual bad caps and resistor and fuse...screens, keyboard etc... but not this advance but I am willing to learn repair this my self....

I have replace memory stick before when it went bad HP has different light code the cap key blinks when is bad memory.

I drop this laptop not from high place, I picked it up the the system was frozen, I power it off by force(power key) and re-turn on boot it up fine than few mins later just completely die no notice, try turn it on again took couple second finally power on and ask for boot password I had set.
power off I went to work and I came home try to turn it on never again power on, now on my keyboard(this specific model) the power on is on the
the keyboard and has white led. this led blinks interval every 9 seconds.
if on battery, when i plug in the power cord connector has led too is amber color which mean is charging mode
but also blinks as the same interval as power led on the keyboard.
I did complete tear down to main-board and I uploaded 3 videos on my public google drive so any expert can see what main-board trying tell me!

I did search the forums not many people have this specific model and few post I have found was talking about bios fail update etc...

You can check what they say here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebo...s/td-p/7484805

but I think there might be something wrong with your motherboard. If I were you, I would dissassemble it completely and to a thorough inspection of the motherboard, check for loose components, the connectors, the cpu (socket if it is not soldered), the pch, the graphics processor. The drop probably disloged something. Post some nice clear photos so that we can help you see if anything is visible.

Very hard to see with photos. One of your videos that shows a solid white light seems to show that it is powered on, no?

when I unplug everything and just bare mainboard and ac connecter i plug in stay on but after few seconds goes back to every 9 second interval blinking. someone another thread suggested test SIC whenever i get my multimeter. Im just hoping is not my cpu. this laptop is gaming laptop. i got it feb this year.

I can't find any information what is the 9 second interval blinking what is trying tell me. no beep sounds no other indications . the laptop still charge battery normally so tells me there's no issue with charging...

I did slow visual inspection for burn, etc... i didn't see anything. I saw video saying any short the area would be hot or weird looking.

In the meantime, I suggest you look at Northbridge Fix and Electronics repair school youtube videos, they are masters in their art and will guide you on how to test for a short, etc. You might even find a video that duplicates your problem. I have learnt so much from them, it is priceless. Let me know your progress.

basics not followed. start with measuring resistance to GND on all coils(all power disconnected). Then proceed to measure voltages on all coils.
