ACER SF314-58 power on but no picture

    Hello All,

Need your advice with troubleshooting ACER SF314-58 (STRONGBOW WHL MB 18721-1). Motherboard is coming on but without picture.

BIOS flash with dump from this forum - same issue.

    Resistance on coils:
    PL5301 - 43 kOhm
    PL4401 - 150 kOhm and going up
    PL5201 - 29 Ohm
    PL5001 - 33,5 Ohm
    PL4701 - 6,8 Ohm
    PL4702 - 6,8 Ohm
    PL4801 - 13,8 Ohm
    PL4502 - 100 kOhm
    PL5101 - 220 Ohm

Power consumption after power up is around 400mA, in power off 40mA

Resistance to GND seems more or less ok. What about the voltage? Offline consumption at 40mA however doesnt seems correct to me.

      Replace the built-in RAM.

Voltage on all coils after power up are ok, except VCCGT, but I assume its normal.

Is it possible to check bulit-in RAM or disable it?

and one correction, standby consumption is around 10mA.

Going by post#4, everything seems ok. Have you tried flashing clean me bios?

I try flash bios, but its hard to find right dump for model sf314-58.
When I used BIOS extracted from Acer website - board didnt power on.
But I dont have 100% working dump file to check it...

Its very unlikely that bios from acer website wont work. maybe you didnt cut the file appropiately. Post your request in bios section and someone will help you. Lets rule out bios first.
