Good days guys, I have a Macbook air M1 (820-02016-A) the fact is that when I connect it to the fuene the voltage ranges from 5 to 20 Volt and restarts again to 0 goes to 5 and 20 and so on, I have reviewed the values and the only one that gives me a little out of the ordinary is the PP1v25_S2 which should be 0.490 and is in 0.290 all others seem to be correct I have changed the usb C chip and I have programmed it and nothing remains the same, I need help

Good Afternoon PPBUS_AON It is not stable, it varies from 6 to 12 to 19 and falls again and thus does the same cycle all the time.Comment

by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

by abhorsenHey guys,
Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.
Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27
Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...-

Hey! As the title says. i don't know if this is the right place to ask but i need to get trusted USB C Controllers (CD3217-CD3215) For macs and dont know where to get them. i dont know if you guys know where is a good place to get it.
The thing is that i have a Macbook air A2337 M1 and i dont have a donnor board to get the CD3217. So i try the CD3217 from a A2141 Board and at first, whitout his eprom it does not convert 5v to 20v. then i put the original CD3217 eprom from the A2141 and then the macbook A2337 conver the 5v to 20v but still not turning on. i guess that the CD3217 is...09-06-2024, 12:06 PM -
by soerenI have replaced the display on my A2337 and I believe that during the change the battery connector was re-connected to the logic board and therefore I now have a non-working camera in my A2337 laptop.
After the problem occurred, the camera was no longer detected and True Tone didn't work. I replaced the eDP flex cable (display connector) and now the camera is detected and True Tone works again.
The problem is that when I open Facetime, for example, the green camera LED does not light up and the camera image remains black. In the end I get an error message. Does anyone... -
by harpI thinking to modify some ATX ver 1 supply, and wonder what if I connect 10k pot on 12v and center tap on brown wire? What range of 3.3v correction can to expect, or something will blow up if I close to rails, leave narrow 3.3v range?
It is KA7500B ic, but 3v3 sense is connected to TL431, I am not sure there is any connection between. - Loading...
