Need help with diagnosing macbook 820-00138-A

    Macbook Pro A1398 EMC2909 SN: C02VW1C9G8WN

He said he spilled water on the kb, and now won't power up. When connected to the bench, it's taking 313ma. Pressing the power button reduces that to 310ma.

I found some water damage corrosion(very light) and cleaned it off. That did not fix the issue and I did not find any other visual problems.

I do get a green/amber light on the power adapter.

Where do I go next with this?

Have you ruled out a bad keyboard?
I've bought a couple of MacBooks that would not power on with the power switch but found they would power on if I disconnected the battery and connected the MagSafe. This confirmed the keyboard was the issue.

MacBook Air M4 A3240 Brand New Water Damage no Image
      by Ugur87
I have a brand new 13.6-inch MacBook Air M4 that was only used for three days and now has water damage. A glass of water was spilled over it. I examined the motherboard and there was only water next to the display connector. I cleaned it with isopropanol and the components look clean. The MacBook obviously turns on and draws 20 volts from the power supply. The keyboard backlight comes on, but the display remains black. Where should I best start? Even when I shine a light on the display, I don't see any image. I have all the tools I need, including an infrared camera. Where should I best start?...

MacBook Pro M4 16" A3403 on the table with water damage
      by TimSinger
      Hi guys,
I have a MacBook Pro M4 16" A3403 on the table with water damage. I allready found the problem within a bad cap. As far as my researh went, I couldn't find the schematics and boardview for this MacBook model. They seem not to be released now. So my question is if anybody has a working A3403 on the table and could tell me, which specification this capasator has?
I attached a photo of the missing cap. It's on the bottom side of the logicbard.

I am very thankful for your replys.
Thanks in advanced and best regards from Hamburg Germany...

Water damaged MacBook Air A1932 AmrestoreErrorDomin Error-9 trying to restore with configurator
      by dbuergi
      Hi all,

this Macbook was stuck at 5v and didn't start because of some water damage. I was able to clean everything and the board started. So i put everything back together and the Macbook seems to boot with 20v, 1,4A and 29W. So i decided a DFU recovery. At 50% of the system repair i get the error massage from the title. Display stays black and no Apple logo. Both repair and recovery don't work.
Is there anything i can do?

Macbook A1466 820-00165A heavy water damage but working with "flashing" screen
      by dbuergi
      Hi all,

i got a A1466 with serious water damage. I was able to clean the whole board and only found a fuse with a coroded trace. Cleaning and resoldering did the job and the macbook started normal but after some time the screen began "flashing" like turning on and off while the Macbook was still running. I checked the board again but was not able to find the problem until now.
      Any ideas where to look?...
