    New member, bear with me....

As one member had posted prior, where, if at all, can one obtain the schematics (and/or datasheets) for some of the more recent laptops?

Thanks (and thank you for having such a resource!!)
I wish to thank the Academy and my agent for all my success!

you can maybe obtain service manual for some of the major brands
but anything else i doubt it because the manufacturer support technicians dont do component level repair they just swap out

If you posted which make/model you are after, it's possible someone may be able to send it to you.

Re: New member, bear with me....

The manufacturers that do make schematic level service manuals do so with the intention of providing them only to shops that they have Certified.
'In Warranty' repairs they want you to take it to them or to a shop they have Certified.
'Out of Warranty' they don't care much if you get it fixed. They would rather you bought a new one.

If you manage to find a schematic it's probably one that someone 'leaked' to the public.

            I didn't say they don't exist.
But going by the sample shots you haven't found them.
All I see there are block diagrams.
Not component level schematics needed for trouble shooting.

If it's an Intel chipset you can generally get those block diagrams out of the chipset docs from Intel.
Other brands of chipset, not so much...

Wow!!! You all are awesome! Thank you so very much for the links (epecially for the schematics from Quang's!!!!)

Most of the service manuals (especially HP's and Dell's) can be found on their website, but it seems to be Acer (with their 5810Tz line, ugh) that I am having slight issues finding.

Dell Latitude 5520 - dump bios to obtain password
                      by iwu
                      Hello,

I am not experienced in electronics, but I really want to check if my idea is possible.

I have motherboard replaced from Dell Latitude 5520 (11th gen on i5 CPU).
BIOS/UEFI access on that MB/PC is blocked by password which I want to get it know - even if I need some bruteforcing or stupid manual activities.
                      There was no computrace activated.

I was happy when I saw many posts about removing BIOS password based on .bin file dummps. I wanted to go little further - get to know the password from the dump.

                      1. I do not know how thebios...

                      by Ierwin
                      Hello everyone,

Ive been a member of this forum since 2017 and always found so much useful informaiton that I never even had to ask questions myself. Now I have a TX-P50STW50 Panasonic Plasma TV on my desk that I just can not make sense of.
As a little disclaimer: English is not my first language so please bear with me in case I do not always use the correct technical terms.

So the previous owner of this set told me that the TV started clicking and restarting every now and then. These events got more frequent until it became completely dead. No reaction whatsoever....
