Hello... Where do I start. I have 2 questions/scenarios that might bring this laptop back to life, so here it goes!
I have this laptop (Asus UX52VS) where I was flashing the BIOS to it and it froze during the process. I didn't have a reliable BIOS chip programmer at the time (It was a CH341A USB Programmer from Amazon where it took hours just to get the clamp on the chip and then every time I read, it gave me different results/corruption, and never would pass the verify test as no 2 reads were the same data), so I brought it to a shop. They had it for almost 2 months, but during that time, I was preparing for the worst case scenario and asked in the BIOS requests forum here for a BIOS dump. There is a post of it here:

So I started to investigate further, going back and forth with the repair shop. Every time I called the shop, they responded that they needed more time, which made me more nervous because when I went in initially, I told them that the BIOS is probably corrupt and a new image with a clean ME would have to be written. They told me that its no problem and would take a few hours. A few hours later they told me they need it longer and they would call me within 1 week. Now we are at a few days shy of 2 months!
I talked to the shop today, and they told me that they didn't back up the bios chip before they started working on it.
Am I screwed? Can I still bring this board back to life without a dump of the chip with the serial numbers/keys?? Would a BIOS with a clean ME region be all that I need?? I'm going to get my laptop back, but who knows what condition its going to be in.
2nd question:
I have ANOTHER motherboard for this laptop where I was an idiot and tried to undervolt the leptop in the BIOS years ago. (Yes, I know I shouldn't have done that, but here we are)... so when I saved the settings back then and rebooted, the setting for the voltage was too low and it wouldn't POST. Instead of trying to fix it, I ended up buying another motherboard (which is the one that the repair shop messed up) and I stored this motherboard away. Is there a way to clear/reset the bios settings back to default so it can POST?
I read the BIOS guide, methods, resources, and tools and there is a section on clearing the NVRAM. Is this what I need to do? Also, it says to "blanking the first VSS store inside the first NVRAM area can be enough." In UEFI Tool, what do I blank and how do I do it?

Is there an easier way to reset the bios? Looking at the board there are these 2 points: JRST2002 and JRST2001. Googling it didn't get any reliable explanation.
I'm a software engineer, so I'm good with computers... I just don't want to make this situation worse and eff everything up, so I'm asking here first.
Thanks for reading. This laptop is very important to me. Hopefully, with the help of this awesome community, I can get this laptop running again.
Cheers.
