    Re: Lenovo 330-15ich dead

    I inserted the chip and got something like this:

    The computer is now powered, when I press the power button, high and low frequency sounds are heard sequentially from the processor.

    Also, when I press the power button, the led next to the charging socket blinks in sync with the sound of the processor.

        Is the ram removeable on this model? If yes, remove it and check if it complains with a POST beep tone pattern to note that the ram is missing.

          Hello

          I realized later that the problem is as follows:

          When I insert the battery into the computer, the battery first draws 0.20 amps, after 3 seconds it starts to draw 1 amper

          I thought the charging current was the computer's stolen current because the starting current was lit

          Later, I realized that when I actually press the on key, only the start LED lights up, but the system does not turn on. So it probably needs to be programmed ec, as the respondent said beforehand

          There is someone on Youtube who manages to program without a programming device, with only a simple eprom programmer, but our io chip is not the same

          How to program this io chip with a bios programmer

          Note: the bios programmer I have is a sofi branded mid-range programmer (I don't remember the model), but it is a device that I can program by selecting the model written on the chip from the interface and programming
          (I don't think my eprom programmer has an IO chip in its interface)

            If the EC was from same board, then it does not need programming(Unless the firmware in the donor ec is also corrupt). You need a dedicated SIO programmer like SVOD etc to do this job.

              No, the ec is not from the same card, it is not a different version of the card I have, the computer I am taking the ec from is a few sub-models of the one I have, and the cards are completely different.

              So I think the ec in io doesn't match, it's like removing an ec bios chip from a different motherboard and plugging it into my own motherboard.

                Yes, In the current case, EC needs programming as donor/receiver are not exact same board.

                  Yes, it is certain that it should, but I don't have an io chip programmer. Not in a place I know. How am I going to program this?

                    I'm sorry but you need a sio programmer and there is no other option. Check if pre-programmed sio is available in your location or not(Unfortunately we dont have such an option in India). Else, try locating a repair workshop who have the necessary tools to do the job.

                      Hi everyone, I replaced this motherboard because it was important to get it working, but it's been with me for a very long time. Now I finally have time to figure out what the problem is,
                      I've never encountered something like this before;

                      No charging light, full dead

                      Lenovo T14 nm-c931 1th gen intel 10th DEAD
                      by Zmay2509
                      Hi, I have dead t14 gen1 with nm-c931 motherboard.

                      Laptop doesn't turn on and does not show any sings of life.(battery is completely flat, do I need it for power on??)

                      When I connect usb c power adapter it draws 0.02A at 20v, I get voltage 20.5V up to 2nd mosfet and nothing out (PQ0006 before current resistor and buck-boost) when I touch gate pin of PQ0006 with tweezers it opens and I get 20.5v on current resistor;
                      But even with that "trick" I cant get laptop to turn on, that's probably because BQ25700ARSNR is not happy and not making VSYS15 rail.

                      Lenovo Ideapad S130 is the CPU dead?
                      by madan1
                      Good day.
                      I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with a Lenovo Ideapad S130 motherboard. When I connect it to the bench PSU and limit the supply to ~2.2A (about the limit of the lenovo stock PSU), the board absorbs all the amperage and the voltage on the PSU drops down to about 4-5V.
                      The components on the board that get hot are the two mosfets ( 1 and 2 on the photo ) and the CPU. The resistance to ground measured on the power rail coils can be seen on the image (~17 and ~50 ohms). On the top of the CPU there are few caps which measure dead short. I checked all caps on the top side...

                      by reformatt
                      This machine has been in a few times with an intermittent fault of not charging. Motherboard is NM-A921 (https://www.badcaps.net/filedata/fetch?id=2051581)

                      So back again now, not working at all. Previously the adaptor had been replaced along with the DC charge port. This is one of these trapezoid shaped orange USB ports that Lenovo were using prior to going USB-C. It has 4 pins, but the DC connector jack on the PCB has 5 pins.

                      Fault presentation was the adaptor is only producing 5.2V, not 20V and this isn't reaching the input of the NVDC charger (PQ5/PQ6). There are 5...
