simple BIOS question !!

Hello,

I have a Dell Latitude 5501 (LA-H181P) and I read the BIOS chip with CH341A.

The file is 1,048,576 byte, every BIOS dumps I see on this forum are much bigger ?? Maybe I'm not reading the right chip ???

The one I'm reading is a GIGADEVICE 5Q80CSIG (datasheet, 8M-bit Serial Flash).

What is wrong ????

GIGADEVICE 5Q80CSIG-chip size is 1MB and so it cant be your bios chip.Maybe thunderbolt or some thing else firmware. Look for chip with 64MB,128MB or 256MB

should be the markings on the chip. Perhaps labeled on the masking as UC5 or UC6 respectively

I found another GIGADEVICE chip, it's a GD25B256DYIG

256M-bit serial flash chip or 32M-byte. It is more likely the bios chip !!
