Hey guys. I have a Macbook Pro A1707 that indicates charging even with no power supply connected. The Macbook is working normally except for the wrong battery charging indicator. Where in the schematic diagram should I start looking for anomalies? Thanks in advance.

by robkaHi,
my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Touch Bar (A1990) doesn't charge anymore. Board# 820-01041-A
I'm not experienced in diagnostics, but I want to try to solve the problem with your help, because every local shop charges around 600€ (650 usd). Which is the value of the whole Macbook.
The Macbook was charging when suddenly the "charging sound" appeared every other second for around 4-5 times.
After that the Macbook was dead. It isn't charging anymore.
The USB-C Port where the charger was plugged is burned. Also The Cable and the... -
by GuericI returned home from college. My MacBook battery was flat. Plugged it in. Nothing. Won’t boot. Waited for an hour. Nothing.
When plugging the charger : 20v at 0.02 amps.
pressing any key will make the « low battery » icon show up. Then switch to 5v and 420mA constant. Trackpad clicks, keyboard works.
Decided to put the board into another M1 body with a charged battery, it’s booting perfect, still 5v and 420mA tho, and battery is not charging.
I diode moded every pin of U5200 and they’re all fine. I know very little about Apple silicon machines... -
by soflesHello there
I have problem with Macbook Pro 15" 2017, model 2017, MB code 820-00928.
I bought it as broken with some artefacts on the screen, first I thought that this is problem with ribbon cable but after inspectiing ribbon cable I know it is fine. I tried to reinstall macOs and then I figured out that this must be something with GPU as installation freezes at the end (when drivers are loaded). I installed Windows and was able to install every each of drivers except GPU driver, as soon as I tried to install GPU driver - black screen and restart.

by bibinskiiA client showed up with a Macbook Pro M1 stating that the battery doesn't get charged (no increase in percentage) but still charge. She left me with the battery 25% and still draining. The Macbook is fully functional. I checked with coconut battery and system report. Battery health shows 85% and stating normal condition, no abnormalities. When it is charging, the system says it takes 10 hour to finish charging. I went ahead to charge it for a longer period, the battery just drains (doesn't get charged).
At first, I thought that this must be a battery issue. I went to replace the battery.... -
by modtoolHi to all,
the owner of this macbook brought it to me after a fall, that hit the upper right corner of the top case.
Luckily enough, the screen and all other parts of the machine haven't been damaged, only the touch bar wasn't lighting up anymore, and the macbook began to behave strangely, because it seems to start and work fine but suddendly it shutsdown (and at the same time the fans make a high rotation for half a second, as if an animal was annoyed by something...) at random times, sometimes after 2 minutes, sometimes after 5 minutes, but never over 10 minutes, then restarts... - Loading...
