MacBook Pro A1707 820-00928-A No power not turning on or charging

Got a very strange one here. Got an A1707 that came in dead no power. Plugged into amp meter and get 5v and then power cycles. After removing the board from the housing, I get 5v on all 4 ports with no amp draw, but it stays at 5v. I then check all rails:

    PPBUS_G3H - 2.3v - Not shorted (1.8 megaohms)
    PP3V3_G3H - 3.3v
    PP1V8_UPC - 1.8v
    PP3V3_UPC - 3v3v
    D6902 - 3.3v on pin 1 & 3

I then saw these readings and thought, classic ISL9239 issue

Removed ISL and replaced with donor board. Mac powered up to 20v and drew around 300mah

Disconnected board to put in housing and then started getting 5v again. Disconnected and reconnected with no cables and get 5v. Checked ISL voltage and seems good. PPBUS now dropped to 3v again. Removed and replaced ISL again, same thing happens. Checked Mosfets but they seem good.

    Now stuck and need help.

    Thanks

Macbook Pro A1707 Indicates charging even with no power adapter connected.

Hey guys. I have a Macbook Pro A1707 that indicates charging even with no power supply connected. The Macbook is working normally except for the wrong battery charging indicator. Where in the schematic diagram should I start looking for anomalies? Thanks in advance.

    MacBook Air M1 A2337 battery/charging issue
    by drlarsen
Hello. Sorry for the long post, but I am trying to decide if this is a simple battery replacement, or potentially something more complicated.

I bought an open box MacBook Air M1 2020 A2337. Seller claimed it was never used. Visually, it appears pristine.

On arrival, the battery was completely flat. Computer powers up and boots fine. Battery status showing 1% and charging, 1 cycle. coconutBattery showing 0 mAh and ~6 watts.
After some hours, the battery status did not improve. Restore via DFU did not help.

I connected the power adapter to a Kill-a-Watt...

    MacBook Pro 2018 - A1990 Dead - not charging - only 5V
    by robka
    Hi,

    my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Touch Bar (A1990) doesn't charge anymore. Board# 820-01041-A

I'm not experienced in diagnostics, but I want to try to solve the problem with your help, because every local shop charges around 600€ (650 usd). Which is the value of the whole Macbook.

The Macbook was charging when suddenly the "charging sound" appeared every other second for around 4-5 times.
After that the Macbook was dead. It isn't charging anymore.

The USB-C Port where the charger was plugged is burned. Also The Cable and the...

    Hello,

I am looking for the boardview file and the matching schematics (PDF) for the following MacBook Pro:
    • Model: A1707
    • 15-inch, Mid 2017
    • 3.1 GHz Core i7
    • 16 GB RAM
    • Radeon Pro 560
    • 1 TB SSD
    • Board number: 820-00928-A
I already searched the forum, but so far I haven’t found a matching boardview for this board. In several posts I came across, it was also mentioned that the uploaded files were often incorrect.

    Thanks in advance!

    Macbook Pro M1 (A2338) 820-02020 not charging.
    by Gueric
I returned home from college. My MacBook battery was flat. Plugged it in. Nothing. Won’t boot. Waited for an hour. Nothing.

When plugging the charger : 20v at 0.02 amps.
pressing any key will make the « low battery » icon show up. Then switch to 5v and 420mA constant. Trackpad clicks, keyboard works.

Decided to put the board into another M1 body with a charged battery, it’s booting perfect, still 5v and 420mA tho, and battery is not charging.

I diode moded every pin of U5200 and they’re all fine. I know very little about Apple silicon machines...
