    iPad Pro 11" backlight (820-02300)

    Hi everyone

Had an iPad Pro 11" 3th gen come in (model A2377), motherboard number 820-02300, come in for no backlight. They tried to replace their own screen. I'm gonna assume they didn't disconnect the battery before connecting the new screen.

I'm working using ZXW, so I have the boardview, but don't have the schematic for it.

Is the J4500 connector responsible for the backlight? It has the signals PPLED_BACK_REG and LED_IO_1 to LED_IO_16.

Any advice welcome, it's my first time with a newer gen iPad Pro.

So I'm assuming yes, this does backlight. It is a little unclear to me tho, what do PPLED_BACK_REG and LED_IO_X exactly do?

Also on a sidenote, if by any chance you have the full schematic available, any chance you could drop it here? Thanx!

Hey, sorry but I quickly gave up on the device because of my lack of experience.

I tried searching the forum for whether this has been uploaded already, but couldn't find them (as a collection).
Here's a dump of a bunch of iPads, I've split into 2 archives to get under file limit

iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen Backlight Issue
            by cheebster
Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
            Anyone...

Apple iPad 9 (A2602) backlight issue / no backlight
            by szakacsa195
            Hi,

No backlight on iPad 9. Made some measurements around LCD connector, please find on attached picture below.

Filter marked with green star has been replaced since it blown.

Yellow values measured relative to GND. Red ones measured on components. Filters seems to be ok, but before and after the replaced filter the resistance is very low. Is it ok?

Where this filter is connecting to?

            Thanks!

Which fuse is responsible for backlight on Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Gen 3
            by Attila Jamilov
I upgraded display from HD to UHD recently, and I think I did everything right, battery was disabled in BIOS, and removed, yet the screen has no backlight. Both the old and new display behave the same way. I checked the motherboard and I see the fv1 fuse, and a fv2 spot for a fuse, but it's missing. Does anyone have any information on whether fv2 is responsible for backlight, or why it's missing? There's a schematic posted somewhere on this forum, but I can't view it as I don't have the hardware right now, since the laptop screen is broken and I run Linux.

            Also from further search...

UN65TU700DF picture and sound but no backlight. BL tests ok but repl. PSU didnt fix!

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...
