    Xbox one lighting strike through hdmi

    I received an Xbox one, 1st gen, but the newer rev.h motherboard. There seems to have been a power surge over the hdmi. It blew the hdmi coils, and the southbridge was shorted.

    I have replaced the southbridge, removed the hdmi coils, and a voltage regulator that goes to pin 18 on hdmi out. Now the xbox turns on but only for a brief second. I can not seem to find any other shorts, or faults.

    Does the hdmi out come from the gcpu? Could it have damaged the cpu? I get all voltages to the cpu and ram for a brief second, and nothing seems shorted at all.

      I bought my son a used Xbox One original model: A12-220N1A Rev: 02 with original PSU & 2 controllers 7 years ago.       Marantz SR4003 AVR HDMI board issue, seeking for help

      I have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted,see attached picture.

      Connection as below:
      Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port
      If I bypassed AVR then HDTV screen color be good.

      I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
      3 HDMI input port > SIL9185 chip(HDMI switch) > SIL9033 chip(HDMI receiver) > SIL9030 chip(HDMI transmitter) > HDMI output port

      Good afternoon. I found this forum as I was looking for troubleshooting information for my Sony z9d. A lightning strike hit very close to the house and did nearly $30,000 in electronics damage. The TV appears completely dead with no status light and no picture. I found the Sony XBR-65Z9D service manual and followed the troubleshooting steps on Pages 21-26.
