ESR-Micro V4.0 does not measure anymore

I have got this ESR meter a few years ago, barely used it and now when I need it, it won't even turn on.
The switch used to act up. I had to push it multiple times, until it would turn on.
I'm about to get a switch and I will replace it.
I have started it up, by shorting the switch pads. It starts up just fine, but it does not measure anything, or it won't calibrate either.
The wires are OK, the protection diode checks out OK.
I'm at a lost here, on what to do next.
    Batteries are good as well.
Any help would be appreciated. Or recommend something else to buy.
I also have one of those cheap Chinese ones, with a black display, that it was a kit. It works, but I don't know, if I can trust that measurement.

the chinese ones are fine if you calibrate them after you get them.

The only thing that I can do, is to replace that switch.
It was acting almost from the beginning.
At the moment, I only have vertical ones, I will solder one in for testing.
