I use a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B for streaming movies/TV, fine for 1080p, 4K probably wouldn't be suitable. It all depends on your requirements really.

Thanks; my requirements are no or little buffering on HD IPTV,and to browse the web,but the question is , to dispute these guys on a good buffering tv box,? it's a littler weird that a TV box with 1GB Ram has better Buffering then a 3GBRam? also if there ios such a thing as a good buffering TV streaming box ?either it buffers or not,i thing these guys trying to sell these Formuler and Mag tv boxes, the way i see it no tv box with only 1GBN ram could be better then a 3 gb ram tv box.

With the Pi2 I just use Kodi to stream video, I don't do any browsing on it, I don't suppose it would be the best experience if I did. But for video streaming, it's just fine.

If you're going to be browsing the web often a device with more RAM will be snappier and probably better suited for your needs. As for buffering there is probably some logic there, an Android box won't have much free RAM once the OS is loaded, so it has less RAM to buffer into, where as a 3GB box has more head room. That said, I think they are probably over playing it

But my box has 32GB storage, and it's not full,i still have 23GB free and once in awhile clean cache on all APPS,besides i use my INTEL 5 quad core pc 6 GB ram,500GB storage and i use VLC to stream PTV or Kodi and i check and if it buffers on My android powerful TV box also buffers on PC, and my Speed is 120MBPS 12 MS Ping most the time,so it has to be on the IPTV providers side, although they always try to blame it on us end users hardware/software/internet set up,besides a good buffering tv box my ass, that's fools talk, there is no such a thing.this the talk of someone that wants to sell their fully-loaded tv boxes.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
              by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started β€˜fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly β€˜new' Tcon board this time, and

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?
              by the_rem
              Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

Good brands of run capacitor for house heat hump
              by cook
Are there good brands for 'run capacitors' or 'start capacitors' that are used on electric motors or heat pump compressors? ... r are the good capacitor brands for electronics (power supplies, laptops, motherboards, etc.) also the good brands for run capacitors?
Yeah I know this might be a novice question, but I just wanted to be sure. I did do a search on the forum but did not see this question asked before.

              Thanks

Good power bank shells for 18650 cells?
              by spleenharvester
I did a cell salvage run on some Dyson batteries to build out a new fleet of Milwaukee batteries and the yield was a lot higher than expected, so I now have a lot of extra Sony VTC4s that are in reasonably good health. I'd like to build them into power banks, there's a glut of shells for 18650s on AliExpress but I don't know which are any good (read: won't explode). Can anyone recommend some (especially the ones that just fit a single cell)? Weld or weldless are fine, I have a spot welder

I suppose USB-PD and/or quick charge would be desirable too

              Cheers
