    Ps5 disc ver, dead, first version

    Having trouble with seems a short on the board.

    A necklace feel in fan and ps5 turned off, shorted .

    Tried checking and replqcing psu, shows 12 v.

    No life signs at all, trying to see if there is anything at first hand to check.

      When I tried to burn a 25GB Blu-ray disc using ImgBurn, I got an error.

      I believe Chip 2 is BIN is the main one as it contained the Windows product key, marked with XXXXX for now.

      SN: PF3G1REP
      MODEL: 20KW-00J1AU

      PROBLEM: Turns on blank screen, charging circuitry motherboard looks good. I have tried another firmware here - but resulted in 5V will not go to 20v due to different PD firmware I believe - using the current firmware it does go to 20V.

      Requesting a firmware clean/BIOS region cleaned. Here is output from ME Analyzer:

      Good Afternoon fellas,

      Issue:
      Disc is showing as not supported when a disc is put in.

      Here's what I've done, you can skip this if you just wanna know the question:
      - replaced with a disc drive from a donor ps5 (honestly questionable if this is known to work)
      - reflowed the disc drive connector
      -reflowed the chip in question (shown on image)
      - I will say this console was very dusty so it's conceivable that it got so hot that it made the chip joints cold and potentially other things on the board
