I've got a Dremel 8220 here that's had maybe an hour's use on it tops from brand new, so the brushes are definitely fine.
The fault is it just doesn't switch on sometimes. This can be after you've just used it or from cold. If you pull the battery and re-insert it will fire up straight away, every time, so it doesn't seem to be a physical issue with the power switch. Once on it works perfectly until you switch it off again, then it's pure luck whether it fires up again or not without pulling the battery.
I've not really worked on these kinds of tools before so would appreciate some pointers on what to look for when I pull the PCB. Or should I try a new battery first?
Cheers
