Got a PS5 with no power. I can read some voltages on the back side of the board with PS connected. I do believe I have 12v coming in and I have found 3.3v, 5v on the board. I do have 12V on + terminal of all the electrolytic caps pictured. I believe I have a short on the vcore / apu supply? All the APU 1V small coils all 6 on both sides of the board are reading around 0.6 ohms on both terminals. I believe console may be dead due to a shorted usb port which I was able to unbend the pins. Do I have a shorted mosfet or possibly bad ceramic small cap or a dead apu? The usb ports are connected directly to the apu, so it might be fried, is there a way to test if the apu is gone? I am guessing since these coils are in parallel, I am going to have to lift all 12 coils and test?

Hi there, I need help with the diagnostic on this board (NM-D563 Rev2.0).
I could not find schematics nor boardview for it.
The laptop was working, playing game when it suddenly crashed. Thermal paste is good and fans are clean. Since then, when power gets plugged in the laptop tries to come on (led lights light up, on off button lights up CPU and GPU warm up) for a minute or so before shutting down. No Display, no beeps no flashing led
There's no liquid damage. I've checked the board under the microscope and can't find any damaged components. I've checked...06-24-2025, 04:26 AM -

I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

i have this asus laptop. This laptop was bought not working.
Initially I found corrosion in the 2 attached photo's and after cleaning that with ipa boom it worked
then it just stopped again.
here is what i have discovered so far.
i checked the first 2 mosfets by dc in jack no voltage is passing from drain to source on the first mosfet.
see circled components on other 2 photo's the circled mosfet has a gate shorted to ground and the other photo that component is shorted to ground

I have a question regarding this laptop. Laptop came from my friend, completely dead. No reaction for power button, Adpater etc. Diagnosis: burned HIS mostfet from VRAMs. After replacing the mosfet, Laptop starts to power up, KB lights up for few second and switch off, laptop remain ON but no display. Vents are switching ON after some time. No Caps Lock or reaction on USB stick. No display also through HDMI.
