HDMI "No Signal" Viore PDP42V18HA to PS3

Hey I got a Viore PDP42V18HA plasma tv that won't recognize an HDMI PS3 signal. It receives a composite cable signal from the PS3 and it receives an HDMI signal from my computer.

I reset the PS3 several times - which autosets the resolution to 480p - and reset the TV to default settings but it just won't pick up the PS3's HDMI signal. I replaced the main board and the problem persists.

Anyone know if this is a known problem with Viore plasmas/TVs or how to fix it? Thank you for your consideration.

I've read that PS3s use HDMI 1.3. I think this model is from 2006 or 2007 so maybe it isn't compatible. Definite head scratcher for me. I could get composite cables, of coarse, but then the mystery would remain unsolved.

Do you have any way of setting the PS3's refresh rate? Try 50Hz. HDMI 1.3a should be fordward compatible (HDMI 1.2 TVs will work but not support extra features like 3D.)

Thanks, Tom. The info I've come across indicates that United States PS3s have no refresh options (you can set European PS3s to 50hz or 60hz) other than the automatic 24hz for Blue Ray. Incidentally, I fixed an old Philips 50" 50PF7220A/37 that has the same issue.

Ah yes, it may not support 24Hz. Does it not support 50/60Hz though?

I meant, PS3 runs at 60hz unless using 24hz for BlueRay which changes automatically. There is no option to change the refresh rate.

PS4 fat has inconsistent signal after HDMI replacement
              by supravit2000
              Hi, guys!

I am not a professional, all I can do is solder stuff on the boards, so I would really appreciate it if someone with knowledge shares his experience/thoughts on a problem I have with a PS4 console.

My friend gave me an original fat PS4, board model SAB-001, with WLOD, that has been previously opened. I changed the HDMI port, couple of pads on the board were ripped, which I connected to the corresponding caps/resistors? Just did so as in a shown diagram (one of the ground pads I ripped off and left it not connected). However, there was still no signal, so...

              Samsung UE65MU7003U / BN41-02568B - HDMI No Signal
              by natiz
Following a power surge, the HDMI ports on a UE65MU7003U no longer work, no matter the port or the source - it shows No Signal.
The other functions work well (eg Netflix app, etc.), its just the HDMI ports.

Is the BN41-02568B board salvageable? Any leads before I open the heatsink cover? board replacement?...

PS5 HDMI not outputting CK/DA Signal
              by Comp_Pro
              Hello all,

I am trying to repair this PS5 which came in with a shorted HDMI encoder chip. This issue was not allowing the PS5 to boot and would only beep upon pressing the power button. This is the first time I've had this issue despite replacing many many HDMI ports. After installing the new chip as well as a new HDMI port the console now powers on and appears to be booting all the way but there is no video output. Looking at my HDMI tester all signals are present except for DCC Clock and DCC Data aka CK/DA on my particular tester. These two have direct connections to the encoder...

Requesting Help For GA-970A-DS3 rev. 1.0, No Post code, no RSMRST# signal
              by AstutePauciloquent
Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.

I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...
