Please excuse the newb questions...

What software and hardware are people using on these HP computers?

I have an HP 600 G6 SFF that I need to clear the BIOS password. I've tried an EZP2019+ and that wont read the MX25L25673g BIOS chip. I just ordered a CH341a v1.7 with the voltage switch and hoping I have better luck with it.

Yes I have the correct 16 pin clip to hopefully do in circuit programming (hopefully).

Also any good guide to this whole process? I want to learn to do this, not just ask for someone to unlock my "stuff".

Again sorry for the newb questions and slightly (kind of) off topic. I think this is the same chip as the 600g6 mini in this thread and the closest I've found through many sessions of google searches.

Doesn't look like I can edit the above post... I finally spent enough time reading around to realize that the main BIOS chip above was not what I needed. I looked under the processor fan shroud and found a Winbond 16MB BIOS 8 pin chip, that one worked with my EZP2019+ and RCUnlocker.

I did run into a problem where I had to run the unlocker as admin, so I had to use command line to make it work. In an admin level CMD, navigate to the where unlocker is stored and also where you copied your .bin, and type:

rcunlocker.exe yourBIOS.bin

Replace yourBIOS.bin with the file name you used and it should work.

can someone give me clean Bios and EC file? I unlocked password on EC with RCUnlocker but got the "HP Endpoint Security Controller Problem" Error after. Reset didn´t work and i tried BIOS update with HP software. now im stuck in Update loop and error still exists.

Attached is the EC file i read with password.

I also did a second device that worked fine at first attempt.

Both files that are flashed right now. There might be a mismatch. If you need i can also upload the two chips from the other device that workes. maybe just change the SN and so there?
