Hi I want to read/program the KBC file off IT8519E. Does anyone know how to do this. I have physically removed the IT8519E chip from the motherboard & I have soldered it on the addon programmable card to program on the RT809H. How will I do this? Do I have to apply 3.3 volt & ground externally from a bench power supply?? It will be great if someone can guide me, first time I will be doing this programming. Thanks

Re: How to Program IT8519E Externally with RT809H Programmer
Thanks for the reply. I am working on this Dell Vostro 360 AIO 2320 (PEGATRON IPPSB-SFA REV. 1.01) which does not have the keyboard connector so I have to Program the IT8519e out of the motherboard. I checked the YouTube link. He has the same Programming adapter that I have & he is doing it with the IT chip soldered on the main motherboard. As I told you, this board does not have the keyboard connector, so not much help.... Only I need to know how to do this programming externally. ThankLast edited by mferna14; 06-18-2021, 11:31 AM.Comment

Re: How to Program IT8519E Externally with RT809H Programmer
Honestly speaking I removed the I/O IT8519E from this board as I had to repair another customer unit so this was our personal DELL Vostro 360 & it was working 100% fine without any problems, only I/O was needed. This is why I ordered the I/O chip and was a bit sure that this IT8519E did not need programming, only had to solder it back to the motherboard & all would work fine. I know the BIOS chips are 100% working. Now what happens when I soldered the new IT chip, I observe it is booting into windows, but no display at all. What you think??? thanksComment

Did you replace it with one that had the same 3 digit code. HXA CXS CXA HXS BXS AXA .That 3 digit code is important, sometimes you can repalce one with a different 3 digit code and it`ll work ok but more often than not it won`t.

Yes you are right "SMDFlea".. I will check the 3 digit code before I make any assumptions. I received both HXA & CXA series. The one which is soldered on the motherboard is CXA series.. Will check & let you know. ThanksComment

by sassanhello,
i want to buy a new programmer mainly for use for laptops bios chips and i'm between the Xgecu T76 and the famous RT809H.
i think that T76 is faster wich makes it the best choice for using Pogo pins,i asked the support if it supports Mec ships found on some Lenovo laptops i didn't get an answer yet.
i would like some ideas and which one do you recommend?... -
by pabloroggeriHello guys. What programmer can I use to program the EC IT8886HE? I have the TL-866II PLUS but it is not in the library, nor is any of the ITE family.

by bembenodose RT809h programmer support the new Bios chips like 25q256jveq because i have minipro TL866 and icant programming these ics and if anyone can tell me about a cheaper programmer wich do the same job to buy it

by H34TORecently I've gotten into EC flashing due to my broken laptop(s) and started frantically searching methods for flashing the IT5571E-128 chip on the cheap(due to me beaing a student and not having a job) and noticed that ITE newer chips can be flashed via ISP (In-System Programming) either via SMBus or the KBC (EPP - Enhanced Parallel Port) interface. While these can be achieved with programmers like SVOD4/3 or the RT809H/F those options are WAYYY out of my budget so I was horrified. But recently I stumbled uppon some programmers on aliexpress that claim they can program a variety of ITE chips...06-17-2025, 07:17 AM

by STKR123Greetings badcaps community,
I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.
Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.
I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.
These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.
I learned that desoldering...10-29-2024, 06:03 AM - Loading...
