Re: Need help bios Lenovo C40-05 Type F0B5
QUESTION: How to use bios.zip to recover bad flash?
BIOS update corrupted due to power fail during update.
System will not start, and screen is on but blank.
Can I reflash using the image in this post?
If so, is there a link to the recovery process?
I've done bios recovery before (specific USB in specific port, even JTAG) but I can't find anything for these Lenovo models.

Re: Need help bios Lenovo C40-05 Type F0B5
I have three identical machines. Two worked, one failed. I have no backup bios from the update process.
But even if I had a backup, and you supplied a 'corrected' bios, what process would I use to reflash the chip? And could I perform this process with a bios copy from an identical system?
I'm missing something about the recovery process, and any explanation of 'how' would be greatly appreciated.Comment

by mximiliandzGood morning, gentlemen, I hope you can help me with my laptop, I told you that I saved it about 2 years ago because it wouldn't turn on, now I have a ch341a programmer, I made a backup of the bios, I flashed an original downloaded from lenovo and it started, but it turned off after a few minutes, I entered the bios configuration and the brand, model, serial number, windows serial number, etc. did not appear, I request your help, I did everything I found in the forum but I could not solve it, also now it won't start again, it turns on but the fan does not turn, I will share all the information...

by akwkyHi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).
Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...04-14-2025, 01:56 PM -
by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by cyber16Please I need help.
Quick rundown long story shorter, but still long winded.
I received this Lenovo P1 GEN 1 about a year ago from a business.
It was pretty much dead hit the power button and the LED on the power light would come on as would the keyboard back light a couple times and just shut off or go into high speed fan mode without life other than the power button led.
At that time it was still under warranty, I spoke to Lenovo and I was going to send it in to have them repair it.
Then late last fall my father-in-law suffered...-

by myty6Hello Everyone,
Make : Lenovo
Model: Slim 7 16IAH7
S/N: YX04XNTW
Mfg: 2022/09/13
System will not boot. I have tried the normal troubleshooting (external display, unplugged batter for 24hrs, holding the Novo button, tried to boot from usb using every typed of bootable media) i cannot get a display but keyboard backlight lights up but it's not responsive, fans spin and power button flashes but stops. After researching my symptoms, I am leaning towards a bad bios.
I have identified what looks to be 2 bios chips on my motherboard, both winbond...-
