Thanks to this post I was able to rescue a bricked board after a bad flash. You da man.
Hello how do you recover from a bad flash? I can explore BIOS but wont boot on any device. Just hangs up after logo of ecs is shown. The old version bin is 2.5mb, this one is 4mb. My board is P63 but I explored the back up ROM and it says H61H2-m2 so i tried this BIOS. TIA

The board has been flashed with the wrong bios ! .If your motherboard is the same as the one in the picture you posted "PCChips P63G" start a new thread and request the bios.

Fixed it by reflashing the BIOS using CH341A with same BIOS ROM posted here. The H61H2-M2 V1.0 (10-17-2012).BIN
So I've little experience updating BIOSes and am trying to update the BIOS on an old ECS H61H2-M2 1.0 motherboard so I can use an i7-3770 CPU with it.
Got the latest eBLU BIOS Live Update software but all it does is keep giving me a "connection to ECS server fail" message and won't let me do anything.
Have a couple of BIOS BIN files for the motherboard but can't find a way to select them in the eBLU program.
How can I install the BIOS update without the eBLU software?
Thanks in advance!

Go to ECS support - https://www.ecs.com.tw/en/Product/Mo..._V1.0/download ,on the drop down list under Driver / BIOS & Others Download there is BIOS/Image & Manual/EDM at the bottom. Select that and you`ll see 2 bios updates,. Read the Update Description carefully about the ME warning and check your ME version before installing any of the bios updates.

Hi and thanks SMDflea!
Followed the instructions and ran the CPU EVO II for the motherboard to update first (since the board BIOS shows the ME version at 7.0.4.1197). Finished and it updated the BIOS seemingly well, new settings were there and set everything properly, and it rebooted and the Windows 10 SSD that worked before entered automatic repair mode. Walked away for a bit and came back a few minutes later to find the PC had restarted and wouldn't load to bios, with the computer turning off and turning back on every few minutes. Now it just runs continuously after powering on without going to BIOS, and with no keyboard response.
Removing the RAM has the computer giving three short POST beeps in sequence, which stopped once put back in. Replaced it with a few other supported DDR3 sticks but it didn't make a difference. Nothing seems to make a difference. Swapped the PSU to no effect. Replaced the CPU (i7-2600) with a few other gen 2 CPUS I have, but nothing changed.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, since I'm at wits end.
Sorry i didn`t see this post until now. Upating the bios is always risky. I can only suggest that you buy an SPI programmer and flash one of the bios in this thread.
