MSI 990FXA-GD80 Bios ROM file request

    Hi Guys,

I would like to request a bios rom file for MSI 990FXA-GD80 , the problem i have with the board is like this https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=256770.0

The board was sent to me to be fixed but i am not sure what bios was on it and because it doesnt post i cannot confirm it, the bios files on the msi like are all exe and i cannot use .exe file for the recovery.

The files on the thread i posted would work but they no longer active.

    Thanks in advance

Re: MSI 990FXA-GD80 Bios ROM file request

Why not try downloading older 11.13 BIOS from https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/supp...html#down-bios ?

    Downloaded file 7640vBD.zip unzips to:

    19/10/2012 04:20 PM 450 7640vBx.txt
    08/07/2011 03:25 PM 194,496 AFUDE238.exe
    19/10/2012 09:07 AM 8,388,608 E7640AMS.BD0

Unzipped E7640AMS.BD0 appears to be an 8MB BIOS file, with AFUDE238.exe a DOS flash program

NT955XED (Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro - 15.6) BIOS dump file Request
      by Citymin
      Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

      ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
      by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
      Some issues
      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

      Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
      by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

[Request] BIOS file for Medion Akoya S6445 (MD61280)
      by 247
      Hi,
I'm looking for the original BIOS file for the Medion Akoya S6445 – model MD61280, preferably in .bin or .rom format for flashing via CH341A programmer.

The BIOS chip is a GStek GS7166 (25Q64 compatible, 8MB SPI).

Does anyone have the correct BIOS file or know where to get it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks!

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
      by m1ch43lzm
      Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
      Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...
