Sorry for the late reply but I ended up replacing the NVRAM region of my BIOS dump from a fresh BIOS, re-flashed it and it worked. Thank you everyone, a special thanks to hoaca388.

I tried comparing the both files and found out that some entries in Intel Image-->ME region-->MDES have changed (images attached). Is this normal?

P.S. MDES is ME debug event service.

bios changes each time you reboot or change settings. do not use the clip is the best solution

I tried reading the bios chip again today (file attached) and guess what? The MD5 sums of this file doesn't match with the previous dump that I created yesterday and it is quite confusing for me. Am I not installing the adapter clip correctly or have the contents of chip changed overnight?

P.S. CR2032 coin cell battery is not installed in the motherboard.

I don't have the backup bios file but I tried reading the bios chip using CH431 mini programmer, not sure if was a good read or not so I did it twice. Dumps attached (could not upload .bin so uploaded .zip containing two dumps).

    P. S. Suspected bios chip located (please confirm by looking into the dump contents), It's a MX25L12873F

Lenovo ThinkPad L15 Gen 1 i7 (20U4) Bios and EC dump needed
    by Joluvillas
Hi all! I was reading on tutorials how to flash a bios to remove password from a bios, and I ended up reading the EC chip instead of the main bios chip, it only gave me a .bin file of 1,024kb, I learned later that that is the EC chip not the main bios chip (I should have read the tutorials here instead before attempting anything, my bad), I went to flash the original backup, the 1,024kb size file into the same chip and laptop is not powering up anymore. I may have screwed the chip or even the motherboard (Hopefully not), I am trying to see if there is a fix before I discard it. I had a couple...

Lenovo X1 Carbon 7th Gen Type 20R1 BIOS DUMP

    Lenovo X1 Carbon 7th Gen Type 20R1
    SN: PF1Y5BBJ
    Board: GX490 NM-C661 Rev: 1.0

I have made two dumps of this bios, with the bios chip removed from the board and the hashes match on both dumps, but I cannot find the DMI information in the dumps except for the Windows product key, so I think it is corrupted. I have downloaded two bios updates from the Lenovo support site, but they contain small .PAT file, and 4 subfolders containing .FL1 and .FL2 files, which I don't understand enough to figure out how to use to fix my dump.

The problem with the laptop is that...

Lenovo ThinkStation P520 BIOS file needed
    by Forest79
    Hello,

I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.

However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)...

MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 - real bios dump from board needed (no stock bios)
    by DynaxSC
Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).

I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...

lenovo flex 5 14ITL05 bios and motherboard fault
    by claws77
my laptop is lenovo flex 5 14ITL05

recently my power supply for this laptop developed a fault.
which caused a short in my usb c port -- verified with a new charger.

rant: so, i went to the repair tech in my country, he asked for a huge repair cost when i decided to get it done someplace else this "great person" nicked my bios chip, asked me to be aware for repair scams lol.
I was stupid and unable to find the flaw at the moment. Another repair tech told me that my bios chip was stolen and an 8mb bios chip is in place of that. he told me that a 32...
