    BIOS workstation HP Z8 G4 (motherboard FMB-1703)

I have a faulty workstation HP Z8 G4 (motherboard FMB-1703). The problem is that it won't start. The main problem is a BIOS malfunction. I took a BIOS dump from the faulty station. I also took a BIOS dump from another working workstation HP Z8 G4.
Can you help me make a normal BIOS dump for a faulty workstation?

I flashed the BIOS dump you sent. But when the power supply is connected to the station, it immediately produces 5 long and 2 short signals (5 red and 2 white signals are duplicated on the LED).
This condition indicates that the embedded controller does not have valid firmware.
        Can you fix this?

Updated BIOS firmware. But now the station gives different signals. After flashing the BIOS, the computer emits 3 long and 4 short beeps. Can this be fixed in the BIOS?

                Hi to all,

I have the same machine, Z8 with FMB-1703 MB.
                I have some question:
1- there is two Bios chip onboard ? Also in your .rar file I see two .bin
2- what does this two chip ? I need flash the two or only one is enough ?
3- the two chip is the two that are visible in my attached photo ?
4- if I flash by a Ch341 your original file from the first post, without modification, will the machine work ? I imagine that only the serial, mac, ecc will be different but working.

                Thanks for your help

                    My serial: 4CV010WZG2

                    My History:
The workstation work regularly until I changed something in the bios (Sure Start off, and some other think that i not remember)
When i saved it autorestart, and loop reboot every 20/30 seconds, whitout video and whitout keyboard, without led error.
Ater that i tried to dump the bios whitout desolder, after some dump try the workstation stop the loop reboot and start to blink led 5RED+2WHITE.

Now i desoldered the two flash chip and dumped.
Under the largest one I found oxidation under the pins. now i cleaned all.

I wait for your tips, maybe i can try to resolder the two chip without modify it ?
You can understand if my two orginal .bin are corrupted ?
Or i can wait for your new two .bin and flash + solder directly you version ?

Thanks a lot for your help

I flashed your #5 files, the Bios and the EC.
Now the powersuply switch on and off in a rapid strange way

                        1. Have you tried flashing the old firmware back? Is the motherboard not working the same way? 2. How is the power supply behaving? Does it shut down immediately when you turn it on?

Do you know if the 12V must be present always ? Or the 12V will switched ON after the POST ?
If I press the power button, only the 5V will be present.
Maybe I can connect an external 12V in parallel to the original 12V

If I disconnect this connector, the power supply turns on. 12V is supplied from the other connector. If this connector is plugged in, the power supply goes into protection. I have not been able to figure out what the cause is yet. It could be a motherboard problem.

Yes. But it looks like the problem is with the motherboard.
I'm getting another HP Z8 G4 workstation next week. I will test all the components on the other workstation

I played with the connector and also in my case the connector that switch off the power supply is the one like yours.
On this connector there is 12V, 5V and 3V.
Is the only one with 3V inside.

I attached an external supply in parallel on the 12V metallic pin and the green led inside power supply switched On, and the MB try to start the fans.

Maybe i have only a Powersupply problem.

You can try the same ?
Your green led inside power supply is On ?

For now my hypothesis is that the power supply already had some random problem, and exactly when i changed bios, after i press Save, it loose the supply and corrupt bios.

                                        Niet,
it's not the Power Supply, i replaced it
                                        So it's my mainboard
