I just bought (via Internet) and installed said video card. The vendor picture didn't show them, but when I got it, I saw all these green and gold capacitors and I thought "Oh, no!" Yep, it has seven 1000µf, 6.3v Teapos on it. If this thing ever gives me any grief, guess what I will check first. BFG provides a lifetime warranty, but recapping would be cheaper than shipping it to them for repair.

Re: BFG 5700LE AGP Video Card
Be glad they're Teapo. Teapo usually don't fail as nastily as others. -
Re: BFG 5700LE AGP Video Card
most of the bad teapo's i have seen were not bulging.they were open.
i found a few bulging in some ibm thin clients but most were just completely open.or at least over 99 ohms esr .thats all the higher the dse tester goes.Comment

by sam_sam_samThis is from my son’s gaming computer that at first had minor overheating issues when playing a very intense game with it causing the computer to crash or reboot
Then bough a new motherboard and a new computer case that a cooling system in it already installed also brought the cooling system for this video card but now the issue with it is that it randomly rebooted screen goes blank randomly and suddenly video freezing or started with video being there then blank screen and then the video comes back or it just stays blank for a while and then maybe it will come back but it... -
by gcrezzThe issue with this video card is the HDMI port. Specifically on pin 19 (Diode checks on all other pins are normal). When i do a diode check on it from the pin on the board itself, I have nothing. There is also no short on the pin. Resistance reads about 200k. Normally on any HDMI pin 19 I would expect some voltage drop anywhere from .5v to 1.2v but here, I have nothing. The card is operational and can be used via the displayPort ports, but not through the HDMI. Attached you will find the pdf schematics for the card on page 22. I have verified that all of the resistors on this line before the...07-25-2024, 09:49 AM

by doorzonHi all,
With the outrageous prices of new video cards out there I've put some more effort into trying to fix an older card (repairing stuff is always a good idea in my mind, but the learning curve for the video cards seemed steep).
The video card is of GTX 1080 type (GP104 chip) that does not show up on the PCIE bus BIOS overview. It also does not provide any signal out on any of the ports (figures I suppose if is not seen by the motherboard).
Card type:

by eccerr0rAnyone try just cutting all the extra pins and card edge of a PCIe x16 card to make a PCIe x1 video card, just to stuff another slot and connect more monitors?
Would this be considered a ghettomod?-
