Don't worry, I fixed it - one of the tiny resistors had broken.
Now the BIOS is unlocked the HDD doesn't seem to work anymore, aaargh...

Probably only 1 of these is blown, but the VINs will be paralleled and the VSWHs also (through the coils)

I would check the bios chip pin 1 cs with the scope, you should see it being pulled low when it is read by the gpu and if so maybe there is a issue with the bios chip or a bad flash etc

This can be broken pcie caps on the 1st lane, bios issue, something wrong with pexrst circuit, something worse...I'd start by checking in diode mode, red probe on ground the pcie edge connector for 1st pcie lane, refclk+ and - and pexrstLeave a comment:

Yeah gh and gl, I would expect a 5v overvoltage event to have blown up a running drmos completely so if it seems ok then probably it is.

Yes just 1 ohm, probably less than 1 ohm
You would see a short on one of the 12v rails if these mosfets were shorted, normally the gate will be shorted too, which you have checked anyway.Leave a comment:

Yikes, its had an overvoltage on the 5v rail it would seem. I know the FDMF6820a drmos cannot handle more than 6v, similar thing happened to me and when the 3rd drmos popped it took the gpu memory controller with it
It'd be a shame to give up now
