I had to replace the Vram on an asus rog gl502vm gpu gtx 1060 card.
The original memories is micron D9TCB -> MT51J256M32HF-80 having an identical card that used samsung GDDR5
K4G41325FE-HC28 so I swapped them.
The notebook displays but GPUZ returns 0 G and microns as the memory brand ??? (as is possible that appears micron if I changed the memory ?)
I re-soldered the microns and the notebook works well for a few hours then (probably after some updates) I have a memory conflict that close any game I use but not performance test.
GPUZ tells me I have 6G of vram... -

has anyone use these Brands of solder balls? The brand BEST writes on the label of the jar the specs of the solder balls instead of the Mechanic brand. I beleive that BEST brand must be more professional (in labeling at least) but I have never try one of them so I would like your opinion. By the way I hardly can I find the Mechanic brand in aliexpress (the only where I found was lead free solder balls) and on ebay these that I found are approximately15USD per jar. I have a lenovo Legion pro 5 16ACH6H with AMD RYZEN 7 5800H and RTX3070,.
A weird issue has troubled me. If i power on off the laptop 20 times then only power LED will lit but no fan spin no display. At this stage gpu, vram. DDR voltage. 5v 3.3v 1.8v and the rest are present and cpu core is stuck at 0.84v.
And sometimes lets say the 21st time it will boot perfectly and there is image and everything is working perfectly and at this stage i see cpu core... -

Looking for some guidance here. The RAM voltage circuit on this motherboard keeps burning out PU301 which is a RT8231AGQW. Copy of the board with the burnt chip attached with some voltage measurements and copy of the schematics also included.
I think I've checked almost every component in the circuit, but when I change the RT8231, the laptop starts I have 1.2V on the inductor for about 10 seconds and then the RT8231 goes south and no more voltage on the inductor. All other voltages on the laptop are good, this is the only one conking out for a reason I... -

Im looking for a tool to change the bios logo.
everyone knows when you turn on your laptop/pc you will see the manufacturer logo like lenovo, hp, dell...
i know that HP has a build in option to change the splash logo.
but i want to change the manufacturer logo to an own logo.
I try'd Change Logo 5.0, but when i make a backup of an laptop and edit the logo and flash the editted version back on the laptop the logo diddnt change.
