Asus P5ND2-SLI Bad memory slot #1 of 4

I have a Asus P5ND2-Sli motherboard that refuses to see any memory in Slot #1. I have tried several different sticks and they all work in any and all of the other 3 slots. I can see no damage (no broken traces/cold solder joints etc) and all the pins appear to be in good shape. All the caps looks perfect. So before I start removing caps and checking/replacing them I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what else to look for or try.

If you can get access to the solder joins on the back of the board, it can't hurt to reflow the joints on that slot.

look for contacts that melted into the plastic.

also, check to see if the board is maybe warped where the ram slots are. I once had a board here that I could get one slot to work, but not the second and the reason was that the board and plastic slot was warped. I loosened the board and put some rubber under that slot, screwed the board back down and it raised the board up enough to make contact the the center pins of the ram stick. maybe the same problem or some thing similar.

Board isn't warped, not mounted for testing it on a open bench flat. Replaced all the caps on the board with direct replacements or better caps. Replaced the ram socket with a new one. Triple checked traces and solder points.

Still fails to see a Dimm in slot #1. I guess its a northbridge issue but for the life of me I have never seen this happen before. Normally if its a chipset failure it kills the entire channel (2 dimm slots).

Im at a loss at what else to check. I think I covered it all.
