hi all, i was resurrecting an old pc intel 486dx2 66mhz and all was working just fine, except one component of the hard drive getting a bit hot... after one hour, hdd didnt spin annymore and i see it is taht component that is getting extremely hot. after cleaning and inspecting, i noticed that on the 5v fuse i had 5 volt one side and 1,38 on hte other side, so i removed the fuse and injected volt and got that chip getting very hot soon. now problem is that i cant find that chip anywhere
component is hd153031sf. ive found it also on nintendo 64dd and should be an hitachi branded mcu. does anyone know what is that or a similar ic to replace it with ?i attach some picture taken from the nintendo 64dd on the internat, as they are the same.
i really hope to find that part for cheap price, since ok old hdds are expensive now , but if i should pay too much ill go with ide to sd adaptor that i already have at home
