    HP 205 G3 AIO 7 blink code

    Hi,

I have this HP 205 which blinks 7 times. No video output, nothing. Motherboard is DAN91CMB6D0 Rev. D. I tried flashing a new firmware and nothing changed. Also I measured a couple of caps from the DC-DC converters, they are fine.
Is there anything else I could try? I'm running out of ideas I couldn't even find what the 7 blink code means it only says "Replace main board" which obviously doesnt help, thanks HP.

    Thank you!

After a process of elimination I came to the conclusion that the problem must be the CPU since I've checked the following things and they work:

    - Firmware, flashed a new one with no change
    - Memory, tested and works fine
    - DC-DC converters, measured them and voltages are ok
    - EC, seems to be fine since its the one who produces the blink patern and controls the DC-DC converters
    - Caps in DC-DC converters, measured them and they are fine

        I can't change the CPU because I don't own a reballing station.

i have some trouble, correctly your bios is works fine, then remove cmos, and change jumper pin 4-6 to 3-4, plugin your adaptor and power on, remove adaptor and return the jumper pin to 4-6 then plug cmoc battery and done.

Hi, it may be a screen error, if possible try with another screen.

On some devices, if you disconnect the backlight connector, the device will immediately give you the error code 7 times when connecting the charger. If you reconnect it, it does not do so immediately, only after pressing the power button.

That may give you an idea of the problem.

This connector sends a signal to ground that has the EC or KBC as communication.
