Re: HP 205 G3 AIO 7 blink code
I can't change the CPU because I don't own a reballing station.

Re: HP 205 G3 AIO 7 blink code
After a process of elimination I came to the conclusion that the problem must be the CPU since I've checked the following things and they work:
- Firmware, flashed a new one with no change
- Memory, tested and works fine
- DC-DC converters, measured them and voltages are ok
- EC, seems to be fine since its the one who produces the blink patern and controls the DC-DC converters
- Caps in DC-DC converters, measured them and they are fine

Re: MS-6178 Pentium III motherboard - bizarre fault with RTC oscillator
How are you measuring the XTAL signal that you are showing on the video?
Remember that if you measure a XTAL directly is best if you use a high impedance buffer. Oscillocope probes have parasitic capacitance that can load the XTAL and change their resonance frequency also the input impedance from the probe is not high enough to avoid loading the circuit because the XTAL signal is very weak. Try measuring as precise as posible the frequency from the XTAL at different amplitudes. If you notice a change...

HP 205 G3 AIO 7 blink code
Hi,
I have this HP 205 which blinks 7 times. No video output, nothing. Motherboard is DAN91CMB6D0 Rev. D. I tried flashing a new firmware and nothing changed. Also I measured a couple of caps from the DC-DC converters, they are fine.
Is there anything else I could try? I'm running out of ideas I couldn't even find what the 7 blink code means it only says "Replace main board" which obviously doesnt help, thanks HP.
Thank you!
