I'm currently working on disassembling my Macintosh SE FDHD. I would like to recap it. I've heard it's recommended to recap the analog board and the power supply, is it also recommended to recap the logic board? Also, does anyone have a capacitor list and maybe recommended replacements? I'm not familiar with what the Macintosh SE FDHD requires, but I have no issue with the actual process of replacing capacitors.

Re: Macintosh SE Capacitor replacements?
I found this thread https://68kmla.org/forums/index.php?...d-be-recapped/
I agree I would leave the axial caps alone unless you see crusted leaking from them. I have a SE I opened up 2 years ago, caps looked fine so I left it alone, however I did lube the floppy drive eject mechanism, that would be a good idea if you still have it apart. ditto the pram battery, vartas were the better pram batteries along with tadiran. luckily its not a maxell as ive had one ruin a centris 610 by spilling its guts all over the logicboard.My Computer: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, Asrock X370 Killer SLI/AC, 32GB G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB DDR4 3200, 500GB WD Black NVME and 2TB Toshiba HD,Geforce RTX 3080 FOUNDERS Edition, In-Win 303 White, EVGA SuperNova 750 G3, Windows 10 ProComment

there are 2 caps which im looking to get replacements for.
Branded as Gemcon
single 100uf 16v 6.5mm x 11.5mm
single 100uf 50v 8mm x 11.5mm
lead spacing is around 3mm
there is space for 16mm tall caps
rs components is good place for me to go since its close by, what replacements do you suggest and do these need to be low esr?

by buromI found my old Xbox 360 in storage and opened it up to see if there was anything that broke since it was built in 2006 (launch era Xenon revision, never red ringed, never been serviced) and didn't want to find out by releasing magic smoke. Upon moving the dust bunnies out of the way I was greeted by a bunch of capacitors with crud coming out of the top; it doesn't seem to have leaked onto the board so at least I have that going for me.
I'm posting here because I want to try to source replacement caps myself from Mouser or Digikey instead of braving eBay or waiting for places to have... -
by chth96I replaced some capacitor which is located on optical pickup pcb which is shown in the table below(PCB #2).Because it have been out of order.
Now,It works very well,But I just have found that all caps (6svpc100my and other part number as well) ,which is shown in the table below, has ultra-high ripple current spec.
It is not able to obtain any capacitor which can be a substitute for this ultra-high ripple current nichicon capacitor.
So I replaced it with samxon and rubycon's general capacitor(GP,YXA series).
I know that these capacitor will not last as long as nichicon capacitor...-

by fl0wHi,
I just noticed that my Asus V9999GT (GeForce 6800 GT) had some swelling capacitors. I managed to identify the brown ones, which are Nippon Chemi-Con KZG series, 6.3V 820µF, which I plan to replace with this.
But for the yellow ones, I guess these are Fujitsu caps, without being able to identify which series... A picture of the video card is attached to the topic.
I need to replace:- 2x 2.5V 1500µF => I plan to use this
- 2x 16V 330µF=> I plan to use this
- 1x 6.3V 680µF=> I plan to use this
Thanks for...1 Photo-

by chth96I desoldered samwha NF capacitor(50v 5.6uf) from PCB circuit of 29inch CRT TV which have symptoms of no display after I heard sound of inrush of current to TV whenever I switch on this television.
I measured ESR value of this non-polarized capacitor(samwha NF capacitor 50v 5.6uf) by means of MESR-100 ESR meter and It displayed 0.3 ohm
And When I measured its capacitance with digital multimeter and LCR-T4 Mega328 meter, It displayed 10uf from DMM and 8uf from LCR-T4 meter.
I found catalogue of samwha capacitor(samwha-catalogue_3.pdf file), which is attached to this thread,...-
