Re: Gainward Rampage 700 GLH
So dust all over, one of the vents has the sectioned section, both being detached from the owner without knowing how to fit them again. In addition, the thermoconductor paste was badly hardened.
After a quick cleaning I've reassembled everything but when booting I got the 2A and 2E errors, that's seems to be a bad videocard. One GPU is slightly warming, the first to the left of the image, so seems to work.
Because this plate is already on a different level, diagnosis and eventual repair are very complex.
Is it worth the effort ?!Last edited by alindumitru46; 04-22-2018, 10:50 AM.Comment

Re: Gainward Rampage 700 GLH
, if I remember correctly.
As to weather it's worth it... that depends on how valuable your time is and if you like doing this. That said, HD4870 X2 video cards still have some value in working condition (typically selling for $10-30 on eBay right now). So could be worth a shot with the reflow.Last edited by momaka; 05-25-2018, 09:45 PM.Comment

by emil_tHello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....04-12-2024, 06:54 AM

by JayPoorJayGood Afternoon, Good People.
I know this will be an elementary little project for most if not all of you, but I thought I would write a post and get put on track, rather than bumbling my way through it with all kinds of trials and errors.
I REALLY would appreciate y'alls help.
This is the problem - My wife and I purchased a big ol Victorian/Colonial House in NYC two years ago. The kitchen is surrounded on 3 sides by exterior walls, there is also a 1/4 of the kitchen floor (ceramic tiles) that has a crawl space underneath, and the kitchen gets FREEZING cold... -
by sda sadHope this is the right place, someone can help me.
My laptop started having a really strange problem....
When I turn it on the fans start working at a crazy rate and with random breaks...
They can work for say 10 seconds and stop for 2 seconds and then turn on again for 5 etc...
And it's from 0 to 100%. I tried to install AIDA and did the processor chip test and the graphics did not exceed 70 degrees and the fans were not even close to working at the power they work randomly.

by joesmoe91Hello,
My Dell Precision 5530 turned off suddenly when I was running Matlab and wouldn't turn on, show any lights, fans, and/or any signs of activity at all. I opened the case, removed the battery and looked at the board with a thermal camera while the AC adapter was connected. I saw that PU1252 was >120C so figured the chip had died on me Got the part number off the attached schematic (see Mouser link below) and replaced the chip. After replacing the chip the board (connected to AC adapter) was able to briefly power on, spin the fans a little bit, and turn on the front led lights.... -
by magnehHello all
Got this Spectre with an overheating problem.
I verified that the fans start briefly during power up, but never turn on again,
even when stress testing the machine and CPU at 100°C fans dont spin
Ive measured and I have 5V, 3.3v and 3rd pin 0.
When fans spin during start up, the signal at 0v is at 1.6v.
Probably its Fan2Sig pin and 3.3V is PWM, not sure
Question is , how to fix?
I think these signals come from ITE controller am I right?
Should I bother replacing it?
Thanks... - Loading...
