    AOpen AK77-333

This board has worked hard and even if 4 Lelon were completely out of spec it was working fine.
I recapped this board and 400W Techsolo PSU to build a PC for my son's school.
Me and other parents are helping the teachers to maintain and develop the computer room of the school.

We are going to install Ubuntu on this one, like most of other PC.
Ok here some pics of the board with bad Lelon and good Pana after recap.
In one picture you can see the MOBO and PSU under test. Few pics of Techsolo after recap too.

@ zandrax: this PSU has passive PFC, the big coil placed in front of heatsinks. The EMI filter is complete and there is a rectifier bridge, not the 4 diodes. I resoldered the cables and some other things. Unfortunately I can't take more pics because I brought everything at school yesterday.
I ran Memtest86 and everything was OK.

By the way I was wrong in the Techsolo post, the cap I identify as LOWES brand was a Unite, the complete text was LOW ESR but I read it only when I removed the cap.

I don't understand why there were a lot of good UCC and Rubycon caps all around and those 4 crap caps

    Ciao

So it's a keeper: at least is quite decent.

@ 370forlife: damn you noticed that
On the heatsink was attached a fan that was not original, was smaller than heatsink and attached with only a screw
The only fan I had in my rubbish was a Intel, I had to cut the plastic brackets to block it on heatsink, than I glued it in 4 points to be sure it doesn't fly away.

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)
          by SluggerB
I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

Boston Acoustic MSUB no sound output(pics)
          by r2digital
The off/on/auto switch was busted so i forced it into auto mode and now the blue light comes on but i don’t get any audio output. Does anyone one have any experience repairing this amplifier? I looked it over, checked some the of output transistors, some of the power resistors and cleaned that nasty conductive epoxy glue stuff off but not having much luck in the trouble shooting department.

I did however find a part of the PCB that was discolored from heat...
