Need help/suggestions for a dell recap

I have a dell inspiron 1150 that needs a recap. The cap fell off the motherboard, I unsucessfully tried to solder it back on with my basic and obviously inadequate soldering skills. I was wondering if anyone could properly identify the capacitor that I would need to replace it with and how to solder these chip type capacitors on properly (tools, procedures, . From what I have gathered at this site and others I believe the type is a surface mount aluminum electrolytic capacitor.

Attached are the pictures, for those who can't make out the text on them it says

    4 8
    220
    2 5A

and then on the bottom there is and S and 78.

    Thanks

    I hate surface mounted stuff.

    I know its 220uf, and I bet 48v

edit: hm ya know I bet thats 4.8v

Looks like it might be a Sanyo CE-AX.
Markings match it going by the datasheet, and it looks like a Sanyo vent.
      Assuming this is correct, then
"A" is the series code for CE-AX, and the "25" is 25v.
      "220" is the capacitance (220uF).

do you know any places to obtain these sanyo caps? I'm looking online without much success, I've determined that it's either a Sanyo 25CE220AXA or a Sanyo 25CE220AX depending on the size but I can't find a place where I can buy them without waiting 5 weeks or ordering a massive quantity.

Or could I go with another brand with the same specs such as this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/8-Nippon-ChemiCo...742.m153.l1262

Height is kind of an issue though due to it being in a laptop.

I also found this but still I'm not sure which one to get due to the measurements heights and width-wise.

Looking for someone to recap Dell XPS T450 motherboard (Live in suburbs outside of Philly)
              by varunviolin007
              Hi guys,

I’m looking for someone in the Northeast to do a full electrolytic capacitor recap on a working Dell Dimension XPS T450 motherboard (it's an Intel 440BX, Slot 1). The board runs mostly fine but is beginning to freeze after warm reboots (turns back on for 30 secs or so and then freezes up but is perfectly fine after 12 hr cool down).

I’d be sending just the bare motherboard (CPU, cards, bracket, battery all removed). I’m located in Chadds Ford, PA and happy to ship within the US.

Looking for someone experienced with older PC boards who uses...

Dell Latitude 5530 not properly charging
              by 0x0null
This Dell Latitude 5530 will not charge when turned off. when turned on and in bios it will charge properly and the adapter wattage is shown.

I noticed that when in bios if the charger is unplugged the bios still reports the laptop as charging and the charging light in front of the laptop stays on

When charging, PL4401 has a stable voltage of 12.8V however when plugged in but not charging the voltage alternates between 4v and 12v on PL4401

              Please help

Dell Inspiron 5590 Board 18778-1 no charging, charging not possible
              by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
              by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Latitude 5420 does not start (no post) need help to find the reason why
              by F R 2568
              Hello all,

this is my first post, so if I make mistakes please do not hesitate to point them out, thank you in advance.

I got a Dell Latitude 5420 (Service Tag: 7RFM6D3, Motherboard: GDF40 LA-491P Rev.: 2.0 (A01)) which does not start and I want to repair it. These are the symptoms:

If the laptop is only connected to the AC adapter (battery removed):

When I press the power button, the keyboard backlight and the display backlight are turning on. Caps key light is lightning, but key does not respond to pressing it.

              The power/battery...
